About Me

Hi, I am Esther, a mother of two girls and a lover of all things outdoors. I am a BACP registered children and young people’s counsellor. I work in an integrative way (This means I use a variety of approaches - play therapy, CBT, talk therapy, art, etc).

I started off as a youth worker when I was 18. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, but I knew I wanted to help people.

I had little interest in going to university at 18, but after many years in jobs that were just not quite right, I wanted to find my passion and vocation. I went to university later in life to study an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I then realized the human brain was something to behold. Fast forward to now, and I found my calling. I want all children and young people to feel heard without expectation or judgment. I have completed an MSc in counselling children and young people and have never looked back. My practice is professional, person-centred, and open to all. If there is something in your life that needs to be heard or if you just can’t quite manage the days, please get in touch for a non-judgmental chat.

Another part of my work is family support. I have worked in this field for many years and I am more than happy to speak with parents who feel they need some support or guidance on how to raise, support, or just be with their child. Please use the contact form to discuss options for this.

In addition to all of the above, I am able to offer training and support to schools on mental health, bereavement, trauma, classroom practice, and behaviour. If you require more information on the services offered, please contact me using the contact form
