FAQs

  • Counselling provides a space for you to process and reflect on your life. As your counsellor, I will guide and support you through the process of looking back and looking forward. I am not there to fix your issues but to offer support and provide you with the space to be heard.

  • As a master's level counsellor, I have spent years training for this role. To be a registered counsellor, I am required to maintain various memberships, insurance, and registrations.

  • I can meet clients in their school or college. Sessions can also take place on Zoom or over the telephone. I also have access to safe spaces across the city and surrounding areas, which I can rent for the purpose of seeing clients.

  • The counselling room is a private and confidential space. What is discussed will remain confidential between myself and the client. The client is free to share as they wish. The only reason I would ever breach this confidentiality agreement is in concern for safeguarding issues or with the client's permission.

  • I have served as a safeguarding lead for many years in various settings. The client's safety is of utmost importance, and I will always act in the best interest of the client. I will keep the child informed of any safeguarding procedures and involve the parent when necessary.

  • Life happens, and I understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances may arise, preventing you from attending a session. I require 48 hours' notice for a cancelled session; otherwise, full payment will be required. This is to cover the cost of the room rental and the time lost, making the space unavailable for another client. If more than two sessions are missed without the correct notice, this will result in the termination of the sessions.
